We warmly invite you to Waxing Crescent, a group exhibition by Ella de Haas, Ilke Rola, Jagoda Dmochowska, and Rogier Marius.
In this exhibition, the artists explore the themes of fluidity, gravity, time, and reflection — forces that shape, distort, pause, and suspend. Using materials such as glass, ceramics and wood, among others, their works reveal how matter can flow, solidify, dissolve, or mirror its surroundings.
The exhibition’s title, Waxing Crescent, evokes a phase of gradual growth and emergence. Like the crescent moon slowly revealing its light, the works capture moments of transformation and subtle change, encouraging a meditation on the interplay between material, light, and perception.

In Vrij Paleis in Amsterdam wordt een installatie met werk van 41 kunstenaars getoond. Ieder heeft twee schilderijen van 40 x 40 cm aangeleverd, die in een lange reeks zijn opgehangen.
In een tijd waarin door AI gegenereerde beelden in opkomst zijn, kun je ervaren hoe divers de menselijke verbeeldingskracht in de huidige schilderkunst is.
